Join The Fight Against Alzheimer’s-Hope For The Future
Thanks to your hard work, important steps on the Federal level have been taken to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Key legislation passed by Congress this year ensures that funding for scientific research into the causes of Alzheimer’s and treatment will continue. The Alzheimer’s Accountability Act will allow scientists at the National Institute of Health to receive unlimited support to achieve their ultimate goal of eradicating this deadly disease by 2025.
There is hope for the future with the additional $25 million dedicated for Alzheimer research and the unprecedented $122 million allocated for Alzheimer research, education, outreach and caregiver support we received this year. This is a huge step in the right direction.
The work is not done. Alzheimer’s care cost billions of dollars each year. The Alzheimer’s Association along with its sister organization, the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement are working tirelessly with the medical community to find a cure and to educate the world about its impact on the world at large. We still need your help.
Research costs, along with education and outreach costs will only triple as more people need Alzheimer’s care. You can help with this fight. Tell your elected officials to continue to support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. They need to know that this funding is critical as they go over the federal budget next year.
