Dependable Background Checks – FDLE Livescan Fingerprint Service
We are a Licensed FDLE Live scan vendor, which includes Level 2 background checks. Obtaining and reviewing a background check is an essential step in finding the best caregiver for a loved one.
We understand that families may feel uncomfortable requesting their potential care attendant to go through a background check. However, it’s important to know that home caregivers are going through a proper screening process. This will provide the best elder care for patients and piece of mind for the families.
Florida State law requires that registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and certified home health care aides, to have background checks as a part of their licensure or certification. All of our caregivers undergo extremely rigorous background checks. Background checks include: a review of job performance, verification that the information provided to the family caregiver is accurate, criminal background, and the caregiver can do the job that needs to be done.
State regulations state that a caregiver must have a Level II Background check within 2-years of the hire date. The FDLE website has a list of all agencies who are authorized to receive background checks as well as the Florida statues. We meet all State & Federal guidelines for fingerprinting applicants, including Level 2 background checks. The electronic fingerprinting session takes five to ten minutes and prints are immediately sent via electronic transmission to the appropriate certified channeling agencies for background check processing. Each of the bodies that regulate these license certified employees is notified of subsequent arrests.
Back Ground checks by us are for employees of day care centers, assisted living facilities, home health care agencies, and others working with vulnerable adults. For more detailed information on what information is collected and released during a background check please refer to the FDLE website.

FINGERPRINT SCAN REQUIREMENTS
- FL driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID (out-of-state ID, passport)
- Social Security number
- The ORI# provided by the Florida agency requiring Level II background check
- For Dept. of Children and families, OCA# is required
- FDLE Level 2 Background Check $65.00
- FDLE Level 2 and Photo with submission for AHCA Clearinghouse $85.00
